I've got some discoloration here and there on my piano's plain wire strings, and it could be the beginning of rust/corrosion. I would sure appreciate any recommendation(s)in this area. First & foremost, I want to avoid stripping the plating off, but I was wondering if 0000 extra fine steel wool would be safe to use. Thanks!
