This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/mixed attachment Thanks to all who replied. This Currier spinet was a distance from town and I wanted to be prepared. Having only installed these weights once or twice in over 20 yr., I realize they serve a special purpose and are by no means a cure all. What I did was to remove the action and lube all flanges [pro- tek], clean and lube the damper rod and hangers, also aimed [dry teflon type don't remember brand] at the spoons for excessive groaning. Much regulating to include 'lowering' the balance rail because of excessive dip, [and the fact that it was too high], . That might have been a first for me, I'm usually raising that rail. There were other items, but I've mentioned these because I feel they gave the biggest 'bang' for the buck. Anyway it is now playing quite nicely, for what it is, possibly better than when new. Thanks again, Brenda Mamer, RPT ---------------------- multipart/mixed attachment A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
