You got it, Terry.  I too have this experience nearly every day.  I'd rather 
tune a hundred modest pianos in the modest homes of nice, gracious people 
than one "high profile" job where the atmosphere is tense and sour.  Of 
course, going to hear music that comes from a piano into which I've put my 
own individual artistry is always a thrill and even more so when I, myself am 
also a performer but my bread & butter comes from ordinary but very mutually 
satisfying work in other people's homes.
