Universal Bass String Deadness

Hello Keith. I made the original post. I see up to 10% of my installations
less than satisfactory (deadness). Please consider sharing your installation
method details. Perhaps there is something that I (and others?) do or don't
do that makes the difference. Please address how you cut the winding and
dress the cut end, any string twisting you might do, and any other final
prep, oh, and anything else I may have forgotten! Thanks so much.
