Maintaining Hide Glue Temperatures?

Terry,
I use coffee cup warmers for a heat source. They vary, but not much. Check
out the local St. Vincent DePaul or Salvation Army thrift stores. They are
very cheap, so buy several. One to keep your coffee, (or tea), hot and the
best one for your glue pot. I strongly suggest a pastry thermometer to make
sure you are at the right temperature. It usually comes with a protective
sleeve for the 5" stem and has a small dial on top. These should be
available at kitchen stores, etc.
