Prepping the Piano for the Tuner - slightly OT

Hi Keith,
I guess that I need to explain further.
It is the pin that bothers me!
Several different piano makers solve the hinge problem by making a hinge
thet allows the removal of the lid by sliding the lid off two short stubs
I do not like to move any upright due to the different stress on the Frame
when it is returned to where it will stand.
One client  has the long hinge with no removable rod at all!
We usually drag out the broom from the kitchen closet and use it to prop up
the lid. This works well but eye brows go up slightly when viewing such. <G>
