The Marks Standard Handbook is indeed a great publication. But for more of a straight Engineering handbook (2500 pages) approach which is equally as thorough and a definite 'one stop' book, I prefer to use the 'Machinery's Handbook' (A Reference Book for the Mechanical Engineer, Draftsman, Toolmaker and Machinist). Published by; Industrial Press Inc. 200 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10016 My edition is 1980 so the contact details may have changed. I have both of the publications mentioned above, but the Machinery's Handbook is always on my desk.
