Troubleshooting Vertical problem

Could be a bridge - soundboard glue joint failure, or poor downbearing . Try
having someone play the worst offender while you push on the top of the
bridge with a dowell  {hard to do in that area I know ,but find a way.} and
apply pressure to the nearest rib from behind. If the tone improves from
bridge pressure,refasten the glue joint, or if it is lack of crown maybe our
recent thread on springs would be worth a try. Tom Driscoll.
