Clyde I agree with your point about efficiency. For too many years it took me better than an hour and 15 minutes to tune w/o a pitch raise. I began watching other tuners to see what made them "faster " than me. Quite simply, efficiency. Now I routinely do floor tunings at a dealer in 25-30 minutes, and client tunings in 45-60 minutes which includes pitch raises. Classes at guild functions and the PTJ were the main sources of information.
