There are certain rules that determine whether or not a person can be 
classified as a subcontractor. A few of them as I recall are:

Do work for others.
Set their own schedule.
Use their own tools.

If you regularly do work for others (private customers or other 
dealers), are set up in your own business and come in to this dealer 
to do PianoDisk installations as needed I think you have a pretty 
good case. Would a painter have to pay workmans comp to the dealer if 
he was coming in to paint the store? He has to do the work at the 
store, much like it's more practical for you to do the install at the 
dealers.

My advice as mentioned to others would be to talk with an expert in 
this area to find out what qualifications there are that you have to 
meet and THEN build a case why you qualify under these qualifications.
