To tune or not to tune?

David
When the piano is beyond economic feasibility--repairs far exceed value--the
estimate will be free especially if they give me the piano for parts, moving
excluded.
When I know or there are strong indications they will contract my repair
services. Or when a store sends me out "for an opinion," I don't bill the
store if I get the prep work on the new instrument and/or the repair work on
the trade in.
A recent death in the family that leaves a piano in an estate where
little value for anything is evident.
Usually for small churches or schools that need to know what they have
and "how much will it cost" situations.
     Occasionally for good will.
