Too many, actually. And the main thing is that, at the outset of all of this, 
I probably came across as if I actually knew something! Not only lots of 
variables, but lots of levels of knowing. Not to get too epistemological, but 
we all have to act, communicate, interact, on the basis of what we "know" at 
any given time. If what I said that started all this came across as "gospel" 
(Del's word), then accept my apologies for bad communication; in aikido, 
attaining a black belt earns the designation shodan which translates as 
beginner. Thus.
