I saw the "x'd"out attachment as well and just checked my NAV Log:

Date: 10/27/2000, Time: 7:49:08,
The file
C:\attachments\HANSON.SCR
was infected with the W95.MTX.dr virus.
The file was quarantined.

It probably harvested addresses from Chris' hard drive and sent out a bulk
mailing.

Norton's site has this address about the matter:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w95.mtx.html
