M&H puzzle to me

I've seen that one before too, Jim.  Never did have an explanation.  Had
rebuilt a M&H 'A' a couple of years back with similar numbers to your
description.  I think we eventually gave it the number that was originally
on the plate even though most of the other numbers were that 'other one'.
It's odd that the numbers were so close to each other, much unlike the usual
'case numbers' we're accustomed to seeing.
