Hi Linda, thanks. Makes sense to me. I did email Bechstein (who BTW now have
an English version) but still awaiting their response.

Hej Brian,

I had a friend who rebuilded one of those old Bechstein's with single
action.
It was from 1879, but looked like the one you described. It was the same
action too, i think.
