 Nothing wrong with this attitude...except :-)

 It is probably best not to say "ALWAYS" or "period". 
If this attitude is permanately instilled in your mind vis a vis offset 
tuning on trouble notes you are willingly giving up a very strong tool in 
your voicing arsenal.
You should "ALWAYS" keep your options and mind open "period". :-)
