Soundboard Finishing

Paul, Lance, and others:
Generally the soundboards we do are left in their "aged" color. Using toners
in the finish gives us much better results with color matching than stain or
dye, and the refraction phenomena is greatly reduced. The "aged" color seems
to compliment the piano. Owners express a liking to it, one stating how it
"tells me my piano has aged with me beautifully!"
