Hello, Paul,

What sort of action did this have, and was there a scale marked on the
plate? The serial number you gave seems too low for a 9' grand, it
sounds more like a case number. Pierce presents an 1840's instrument as
their first concert sized instrument.

I think 33bs have 17 bass, but they're 8'6 and later than the
approximate date you gave. Every example I've seen has a Brown action.
