No, but I´ve seen a DI message with childishness to be expected of people
 my age. >>

Thanks, Kristin. I don't read most of DI's messages, I just delete them. If
DI really read my posts for their intent rather than immediately putting his
*interpretation* based on the hatred, jealosy and misunderstanding of what I
do and say, he would not write the things he does. If he really did read my
posts carefully, he would know that I often spell out the words, "in my
opinion" when I think that what I have to say is based more on an opinion
rather than something objective based on facts or clinical experience.

I dislike the use of acronyms unless they have the words first spelled out
and then the acronym in parentheses. This is a way to avoid repeating the
same, often long words many times. I often see acronyms used repeatedly for
which I have no idea or clue of the meaning.

To me, the use of overly used acronyms such as the "IMHO" (which I did not
understand the meaning of for a very long time) is an example of poor writing
technique, space filler. They are unnecessary, often not understood and
often misused. Those "smiley faces" are also something that I would rarely
use for the same reasons. If you use it after virtually everything you
write, people ignore them, they become meaningless. If you use them only on
a rare occasion, they are more effective.

It's all a matter of style. I don't care at all to try to match or blend in
with the same style as some other regulars on this List. If it means that
they delete my messages and they delete mine, it is of no particular concern
to me. In my opinion, it would not at all be necessary, contributory or
useful to put "IMHO" at the end of this post just because a lot of other
people usually would.
