A client of mine recently purchased a used Schimmel vertical (beautiful piano) & said the only other piano that compared favorably had been a new Schirmer & Son made in Poland. According to the Ancott directory they make vertical & grand pianos in Poland & Estonia, though the directory indicates all the grands as "discontinued models". Uprights are priced 4,390 - 6,790; grands 15,990 - 35,990 (9'). I haven't seen any myself, but this client has a very good ear. Bruce
