Dear List, Please pass the word to your colleagues that are not on the list. After extensive negotiations, Executive Director Dan Hall has secured an agreement with the Smithsonian regarding an organized expedition to the Piano 300 exhibit. Here is the latest: July 8 Saturday Evening Tour of Smithsonian "Piano 300" Exhibit Set (Dan Hall) Great news! With the concurrence of the Smithsonian Ripley Museum Director, PTG Convention attendees will be able to visit the historic "Piano 300" exhibit. I have worked with PTG President David Durben, Dale Probst, Sandy Roady and others in "carving out" time on Saturday evening for the tour. Randy Potter has volunteered to sponsor one 47-passenger coach. Other sponsors have tentatively agreed to sponsor a second bus plus cover the cost of "after hours" security at the exhibit site. An announcement of this special opportunity to visit the exhibit will be inserted with the May Journal. Shuttle coach transportation will be available starting at 4:00 PM from the Hotel with a bus departing each 20 to 30 minutes. The last bus back from the exhibit will depart at 7:30 PM. That will give convention attendees time to attend the 9:00 PM Yamaha Reception at the Hyatt Regency- Crystal City.
