The SuperShuttle service sometimes leaves quite a bit to be desired. They will pick up on demand, (except that they didn't come when I had to leave home for a meeting at 6:00 one morning a few weeks ago) but they often wait until they have enough people to leave for destinations that are out of the way. Crystal City is nearly an hour's drive from BWI, and I believe that I saw a sign at the SuperShuttle desk that said they could take up to three hours to fill a shuttle. If some people were getting their flights to coincide, they might be able to fill a shuttle themselves and "come on down". I have a trip out of BWI next Friday, so I'll check the signs for you and if they say anything else I'll let you know. (I'll be back Monday night.) Union Station is a really neat place, and you can get a train to there and grab the Metro to Crystal City. I'd recommend using that plan; you don't have to worry about traffic, demonstrations, etc. And you'll see a bit of the city on the way. BWI is a great airport; it's just not great to fly into if you need to go downtown. It does have some very good fares, though. Reagan National Airport is very close to the hotel -- you can grab Metro from the airport to the hotel. Colette Collier Trohan
