As you lower the tension in the tuning pin section of the string, eventually
the differential between it and the speaking length overcomes the friction
between the string and the rest felt. The tension equalizes instantaneously,
and the string jumps through the agraffe. It is usually worse in the agraffe
section, but because of the "rust felt", not the agraffes. It's almost like
plucking the string. Prolube will creep around under the string, where the
problem is, and teflon powder will not.
