I just had to respond to this thread....however off-topic it is.
Yes, ethanol can be produced right here at home. But so can oil!!! Before
you get your shorts in a bind remember this: The more oil we explore for and
find here, and produce using the newer, cleaner technologies, the less
supertankers that have to come near our shores and risk the coasts!!! Why
can't people understand that! Oil in an on-shore pipeline or in trucks is
much better (and cheaper) than supertankers!
Perhaps our Vice(!)-President can set an example by not using his
polluting airplanes and limos.
