Two guesses ( is that fair)? The pedal box itself was just coming loose enough from the uprites at the big wedged-dowel joint to squeak or the lyre itself had just enuogh movement to cause a squeak in one of the braces ( at the top probably)? I'm all atwitter! Rod Pierce
