Del,

My mistake, I rechecked the numbers and the increase was closer to 900
pounds. This was with the automatic scaling function in pscales. I had been
playing around on my own at first and had managed something probably closer
to 800 pounds. This evened out the inharmonicity which originally was high
according to the standards of the program and also erratic. The scale itself
had a number of large changes in wire diameter both of the wrapped and core.

I know it is only a generality but is 800 - 900 lbs of additional tension a
dangerous amount, generally speaking. I know you can't tell for sure and I
doubt I will know for sure until that fateful day I pull the tension up. But
best guess would be helpful.
