Iron Wire

I am looking for a source for iron piano wire. Also I'm looking for someone 
who will underwind bass strings. (Wrapping that is first wound quickly toward 
the hitch-pin loop and then wound back over in the normal fashion. You know 
what I mean. After 27 years I still don't know that they're called.)
