Oh I almost forgot, we had an earthquake which was 6,5 on the Richter scale about six o'clock. No one was very seriously hurt but there was considerable damage to some houses near the epicenter which is near a couple of villages in the countryside. What really bugs me about this is that there is a three year old Steinway C quite close to the epicenter which I will be tuning next weekend for concerts three days in a row. I just hope itīs still standing on three legs. Kristinn, In 1989 we were six miles from the epicenter of a 8.2 earthquake. We saw a lot of pianos that were still standing. The customers heaved sighs of relief that their pianos were ok. Only problem was that many of them had _bad_ soundboard cracks which the customers couldn't see. You might want to check the piano out when there is still time to react. The facts that your earthquake was considerably smaller and that the piano is quite new make it more likely that it is just fine but with earthquakes you can't tell for sure until you see it.
