Hmmm? I've done some number of Knabes and never have noticed, or perhaps paid 
attention to, this in the past. Thanks for letting me know yours has it too.

 Ron, no the glue was in typical ultra dryed out condition, i.e. cracked and 
flakable but there was no evidence of any 'crushing' or "crunching".
