SAT procedures

I've been using an SAT since  the earliest and think it is likely the =
best tuning device ever. I dont know anything about RCT but cant see =
carrying a computer around.  In any case the one place a newcomer could =
get into trouble with FAC is when the piano has a wound string on F3. =
Jim Colemann's earlier articles in the PTJ cover this nicely.  (Use the =
inharmonicity stretch number from the first plain wire above F3)  I know =
what the partials should sound like, etc. and do take a listen.  I agree =
with the person who said it would be good to learn to set a temperament =
aurally before acquiring a SAT or any other machine.  It is a great tool =
for fast pitch raises and tuning.
