SAT FAC numbers

Hi Terry:

Keep in mind that the SAT uses various higher partials to tune to over most
of the keyboard. Only in the  uppermost octave or two does it use the
fundamental. So when tuning A4 with your SAT and observing the 5.8 cents in
the display window, the SAT is indicating that the targeted pitch for the
partial to which it is tuning is at 5.8 cents. You SAT manual will tell you
exactly which partial it uses for A4. After you tune, turn your SAT off,
turn it on, press the "tune" button, and see where your A4 is set. It will
be very very close to 0.0 cents - because here you are measuring the
fundamental now. If it varies slightly from 0.0, the manual details a simple
method to offset the SAT to correct for any slight deviation. Do you have a
manual?
