Refinishing Problem

Terry,

Orange peel can also be caused by not enough thinner in the material ie, too
thick (so to speak). Also you may be trying to put too heavy a build on. I
would cut back on the material a little first, and if this doesn't solve the
problem try thinning the material a little more. I would rather make several
passes with thinner material than load up on one pass. Overly thick builds
can cause other problems such as air being trapped etc. There are so many
variables you will need to experiment a little to get the feel, but once you
do then it should go well for you.

I should add that I am unfamiliar with the particular product you mentioned
as well as the gun, however I have refinished pianos for about 15 years with
all sorts of coatings, so know what you're going through.

Good luck, and let us know the outcome as I am interested.

Cheers...
