Would anybody who has significant experience with this type of piano, hazard an "as is" appraisal value ? ...Not pie in the sky, but what a good rebuilding shop would be normally willing to part with to aquire this sort of 'used-to-be-musical instrument.' Thanks, Owen (Southern Ontario in Canada) >> Owen, If I'm not mistaken that Steinway should be a model "O". I believe the first model "L" was around 1923. I really don't think that hurts the value much, at least not in Texas where the average wholesale prices for that piano would around $9,000.00 to $11,000.00. Just bought an "O" three weeks ago, for restoration, in that price range. David Koelzer DFW, Texas
