Nope, not acetone, nor laquer thinner. The stuff ladies use on their fingers
is PCE, aka PERK, aka tetrachloroethylene, aka tetrachloroethene, aka
perchlorethene. It is also the drycleaning solvent, and a widely used
industrial solvent.
