Dear Friends and Collegues,

There is Kawai UST-8 Studio that I tune on a regular basis at a local
highschool. The problem is that is very unstable. Last September I found it
to be 30 cents sharp. It seemed very damp in the choir room. I checked the
humidity and it was between 40 and 50%. The floor is cement with no carpeting
(it is a new school and I think they saved the carpet money for a better
football field). I went ahead and installed a dehumidifier and humidistat.
Then today I tuned it and found it 20 cents flat. The humidistat was not on.
It is colder and the heat is on, so I believe it is now dryer in the room. I
tune a lot of UST-8's in schools and never found such instability. So here
are the questions:

    1. Should I install a humidifier to the system?
    2. Would a carpet underneath the piano help, or carpet the whole room?
    3. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanx in advance
