>Reblitz says to use burnt shellac. Is anyone familiar with >this? What is "burnt?" Is that a color or a type? Greetings, This was an old factory method of getting a very high-tack surface. It was often used to felt plates. Put some shellac in a metal tray, outside, and light it. After it has lost enough alcohol, and is still hot, it will be gooey, and will stick to just about anything. Brush it on with a throwaway brush, press the felt into it, and it will form an almost instant bond. Regards, Ed Foote
