The point at which this happens varies quite a bit, depending on the
construction of the rim and the design of the rim bolts/screws.  A Steinway
rim, with its hard maple construction, can take quite a lot.  Another rim,
made of Select Hardwood, may not take much at all.  What feels like a loose
screw/bolt may, in fact, already be stripped.
