I built mine too, before I saw the Renner. I made it out of 1/2" UHMW
plastic. The hammer cradle pivots on the center line of the hammer molding.
It does the job for me, boring any angle I want including compound, but
needs some refinements, someday when I can afford another piece of plastic.
It was a fun project with lots of non-income time in it.
