Newton, List,

I trust you meant, they don't work for you.  My experience has been quite
the opposite as a whole.

Granted, not 100% of the time do they match it's neighbor on double bass
strings, but then again I've had special order strings from a reputable
string maker not do that as well.

One area they do shine is in single bass string replacements, when a
splice, for whatever reason, can't be done.
