Many of us learn enough about piano tuning to pass whatever tests are appropriate to join associations... some dont even bother getting that far. Few go much farther beyond. Before anyone gets all chest bangy about how much they know.... a quick look at the following link might provide a glimpse into the volumes and volumes of literature that have been written on the subject matter of Tuning in general.
