burnout

I came up with a rather novel approach this year.  I have a friend that
wanted her upright refinished.  I suggested a straight trade of hours, as
her profession yields about the same hourly rate.  So, I spent 49 hours
doing a first-rate job on her upright, and now I have 49 hours of
first-rate massage coming my way.  I figure an hour per week for almost a
year.

Relieves burnout faster than any other method I know.
