Hi gang,

This Howard/Baldwin is a Cincinatti one built in 1930, serial #212850.
Unfortunately, it was her grandmothers piano so the woman is attached to it.

Brian, good point about the humidity. The house is air conditioned and the
pianos environment seems to be stable, though I haven't taken any hygrometer
readings. Come to think of it, it could be a factor. This second time I was
there most of the sharps were knocking against the fall board. I hadn't
noticed this the first time I was there and the customer said the problem had
worsened. The key height is 2-9/16" and the manual lists the height for this
model at 2-3/8", but I'm getting away from my original post - anyway I told
her to be aware of the problem as we head into the heating season and see if
it improves as the humidity drops.

Lots - o - fires on this one to put out.

Know were is my coffee.
