verdigris response

It seems that I have aroused the ire of a few of the listers, by implying 
that I intended to tinker with a piano while not being a technician.

I want to clear the air by saying I never intended to do such a thing.  The 
owner of the piano is reluctant to call a technician, and I thought I could 
convince her to do so if I could spot verdigris, show it to her, and explain 
that it is a serious problem that requires a technician's help.

I admit my post may have sounded as if I intended to solve this problem by 
myself, but I can assure you this is not the case.
