I gotta go with Bill Bremmer on this one.. Grin.. if you could sum up in any
meaningfull way how to tune a piano in one hundred words or less you would
probably solve any number of problems / debates,, etc etc ad absurdum.

But to the point... Learn to tune by ear, if you want to use a tuning device
to
help fine, and if you want to end up using a device to tune, fine.. but the
better you understand intellectually and are able to put that to work in
tuneing
aurally, the better you will be able to tune whatever method you use.

Know thy proffesion...
