..i was doing some floor tunings today - inside one of the piano benches(whos manufacturer will remain somewhat anonymous for now) were the usual stuff from an era gone by - old-looking manuals, some music and a warranty card. The owners manual was kinda cool...offering different locations where to put one's new piano..room sizing..just different kinda stuff...then on the warranty card, there were a bunch of 'rules', or 'suggestions' that this manufacturer had assembled for the new owner to look at, observe, and hopefully follow..there was one 'rule' or 'suggestion' that kinda caught me by surprise..and it said: "A well recommended and competent technician is always the least expensive." Discuss?..or disgust? Rook
