Hi Dale,
Most of the Chickerings I've rebuilt (I think I remember) had so little
wear in the balance rail bushings that I almost felt (no pun) guilty for
stripping and replacing them. It seems to me to work pretty well in both
the front and balance rail. As for the rest, I've tried for years to
understand what I think I believe to be true, but it keeps changing on me.
Please pardon our mess, we're under renovation.
