You all might want to check out another book...if you can find it: "A Manual On The Rudiments of Tuning and Registration Bk 1" Publ by the Schiller Institute 1992 ISBN 0-9621095-5-X $30.00 US PO Box 66082 Washington, D.C. 20035-6082 As you may not know...many singers are wanting the standard pitch lowered....this book is about that. There is a good history of how the A=440 came to be, Helmholtz, physical pitch,C=256, etc. Fun stuff.... Draw your own conclusions... Rich A.
