Tied bass string, will it break?

	It is a well tied knot with beautiful bends. Yes I  do protect my eyes . I tied a
knot in a single bass string a month ago and it came up easily.(diff piano) I don't
know why this one seems to resist the last few steps.   (1/4, 1/18, 1/16th etc) . 
There is something in the back of my mind that says a string that is tied should be
treated gingerly and with time.  Of cousre that jives with the "chicken" aspect. So
the next time I see it, I should
take your suggestion, and get it over with; with which I fully agree.   {{ burk }}
