Finding the serial#

Yesterday, i appraised a Geo.Steck 6' Grand. The Serial#, or what I THINK is the
serial#, was imprinted on the Bass side, inside, where the action resides!  There
was nothing on the rim, Plate, etc.

There is a business-card size 'thingy' on the bass side of the cabinet, down
towards the bridge, but there was no number to be found there..which makes me
think that there WAS a number there at one time, because the cabinet appears to
have been re-finished at one time.

IS the number that I found the serial#?

If it is, the piano is 135 years old., and I have my doubts about that.

Any help or info, as usual, is much appreciated.
