Susan,

Burlap should work well.  The idea is to suck up the dirt and put it
somewhere else.  The burlap will allow it to go everywhere very nicely
distributed in a very thin coat that will be almost unnoticeable. 
Better than using compress air because that is more directionally
oriented.
